Advocating for Closing the Medicaid Gap

Governor Roy Cooper invited a small number of key advocates for closing the Medicaid Gap to the Executive Mansion in January.  Governor Cooper and Secretary of Health and Human Services, Dr. Mandy Cohen, both spoke to the group and expressed their gratitude for the efforts to help more North Carolinians have the affordable health insurance they desperately need. Susan Shumaker was in attendance, along with grantees Care4Carolina, NC Justice Center, and North Carolina AIDS Action Network.
